March Profile: Emily Darnley

My name is Emily I first started sewing to make clothes to fit my children, it began as a hobby and has now turned into a small business. So here is where Popperloops was born. We are an outdoorsy family based in Cornwall, we shoot, beat and take part in lots of generaI outdoor pursuits. So I decided to make fun, useful and unique clothing and accessories for babies, children and even adults. I have gone out of my way to aim to design products for a market I don’t think is particularly well catered for, practical, waterproof and warm clothing aimed at outdoorsy families in prints children love to wear too. Shoot, equestrian, farm and country themed designs, custom prints and lots of love have made this business what it is today .

The Sling cosies are one of my most popular items, designed to keep the littlest family members warm and dry, then there are salopettes and coats for the older ones. These products have been tried and tested in the best way possible, puddles, mud, rivers, farms and general outdoor living.

I communicate with customers throughout the entire process to provide the best possible service and to make their ideas come to life. I pride myself on my good reviews and customers regularly send pictures of the items in use. Customer feedback is so important to me, to be able to tweak ideas and products to suit the individual requirements. I have a fantastic selection of fabric designs and if there is something specific I will ways try my best to find the design for you.
